Timing is everything
I usually try to get to the dinner table before my husband has finished eating, but it isn’t easy. The trick is to serve my own food first, so it’s all ready to go to the table before his has been plated. Try it, it works.
Defrosting myself into a corner
When I am on a roll in the kitchen, I like to prepare a few dinners at once. Having them ready for those days when I don’t feel like cooking is great. But sometimes I disappear into the kitchen for hours and hours…too long really… because I have thawed out too many things, I have to do something with them.
Anyway, I cook my way out of trouble and am happy (but exhausted) to know that I can take a break for a while.
